Julia Howell
is Associate
Professor of Asian Studies at
Griffith University in Brisbane
(Nathan Campus). She has been
conducting research on religions
in Indonesia since the early 1970s. Since the 1990s she has worked on Islam's devotional and mystical tradition, Sufism. Her recent work on Islam in Indonesian focuses on Muslim celebrity televangelists. |

Lynn Revell
is a senior
lecturer in Religious Education & Citizenship at Canterbury Christ Church University in England. Prior to working in Higher Education she was a teacher of RE in secondary and primary schools in England and worked for the Commission for Racial Equality. She has written on issues relating to developments in contemporary RE andWestern religiosity and the need to make RE representative of religious diversity and controversies. |
